About Maine Fire Convention
The 60th Maine State Fire Convention is coming to Waterville. Join us in central Maine as we show our Pride in Duty and what it is to be a firefighter here in Maine. This convention is dedicated to promoting fire safety, showcasing new technologies, and providing training opportunities to firefighters across the state.
Friday Night Events
We would like to welcome all who are coming into town for the weekend. We will be hosting live music down on the waterfront. The Fossils will provide tons of classic rock tunes. The food trucks will also be on-site serving up some of Waterville's finest food. Cushnoc Brewing will also be on-site providing some of Maine's best hand-crafted beers. We open up at 4 pm with music starting at 7 pm.
Saturday Parade
Join us Saturday morning for the largest fire truck parade you have ever seen. Running down College Ave past the police department onto Front St and ending at the Head of the Falls. This event will surely entertain all ages. The parade will start at 9 am sharp and is rain or shine.
Saturday Vendors and Food Trucks
Visit us under the tent at Head of the Falls for dozens of vendors, top-tier food trucks, and some of Maine's best craft beer. The vendor area will open up after the parade (10 am ish) and run till 4 pm. The food trucks and beer garden will remain open, however after that, the vendor area will transform for the evening entertainment.
Saturday Muster Events
What is better than one muster??? How about two at the same time!!!! That is right it will be non-stop entertainment as we host two musters. We are going to take over historic Main St and display what modern and antique firefighting is all bout. One side of Main St will be the proving ground of Maine's bravest as they battle to see who has the best skills and teamwork. On the other side, antique hand tubs that are well over 100 years old will show off what they can do. It promises to be a good show. The event will start at 1 pm and run till finished (hopefully by 4 pm)
Saturday Night Entertainment
The food trucks and beer tent will be open as we get settled in for a night of fun. Tables will open for dining at 6 pm. At 7 pm our keynote speaker will make a presentation about mental health in public safety. Following that our main entertainment will take over. Howel at the Moon is a combination of Music and Comedy. You the audience get to choose the music and the hosts are guaranteed to have you laughing.
Sunday Morning Send Off
Sunday morning we will be hosting a buffet breakfast at the Head of the Falls. Our Keynote speaker will make a second presentation, we will have closing comments from the staff and awards will be handed out. Buffet will start at 730 am and the speaker will start at 830 am
